Pebbled black/gray cloth with blindstamped border, beveled edges, and gilt lettering. Covers dusty and faded along edges, with fading to spine and some general scuffing and smudging. Front hinge cracked to about halfway down with spine starting to pull away from page block, but still secure at bottom half and back. Contemporary gift inscription on front free endpaper. Some marginal fingerprinting and a few stray pencil marks, else pages unmarked. Map is bright with no tears. Page binding is sound. Not ex-library. With an appendix "Giving a brief history of Oregon and acquisitions of territory to the United States."
