Scarce second installment of Brian Zahn’s underground newspaper, which ran for twelve issues. Zahn was an early pioneer of R. Crumb’s work. This issue is especially notable as the earliest appearance of “Head Comix,” the cartoonist’s first full-page comic strip. The remainder of the magazine is given over to full-page psychedelic drawings and grainy photographs of free-lovin’.
Yarrowstalks was based primarily in Philadelphia, but also published in London depending on the editor’s whereabouts. This issue was published simultaneously in the United States; the American cover art appears at page [12].
