Octavo; publisher's stiff orange card wrappers with blue printed paper labels to upper cover and spine, in tan printed dust jacket; 96pp. Light wear to jacket margins with a few small closed tears, faint offsetting to endpapers, else a Very Good and sound example.
Lawrence's second play, intended to be the inaugural installment in the Plays for a People's Theatre for which the author wrote a special preface. Instead, Douglas Goldring swooped in and published a play of his own as the first in the series, leaving Lawrence's "Touch and Go" in the number two spot. Lawrence was furious and the play was never produced in his lifetime according to his bibliographer.
