Accordion fold booklet (21.5x13.5cm) comprised of eight panels on heavy paper, each printed to one side featuring a captioned color illustration from Tolkien's Lord of the Rings. Mild rubbing and spotting; interior bright; Very Good and sound. 

Oberdieck's first published work and one of the earliest collections of Tolkien illustrations. The dearth of illustrations is likely due to Tolkien's strong views on artistic interpretations of his work; within a few years of his death in 1973, this publication appeared and the "Tolkien Calendar" series had begun. Scarce in retail and we find just three holdings in OCLC as of January, 2026, at Wheaton College, Bowling Green State, and Azusa Pacific University.
