Octavo; contemporary parchment over marbled paper-covered boards, gilt tooling to spine though missing spine label, all edges stained yellow, yellow endpapers; iv,[2],254,[8]pp.; twenty steel-engraved plates (collated complete). Boards a bit worn with shallow exposure, hairline crack to front hinge, brief 20th century ink note to front free endpaper and occasional pencil marks throughout text, one page with juvenile pencil scribbling; Very Good and sound overall.
