Two octavo volumes (21.8cm); publisher's plain dust jackets with black lettering to spines and $10.00 set price intact over patterned boards; black topstain; I: [x],500pp, II: [viii],201-1010pp; housed in publisher's slipcase. Jackets are crisp with toning to end-facing panels and heavier toning, smudging, and a couple waterspots to spines. Boards are square with light bumping at spine ends; spines a touch faded. Topstain faded near heads. Ownership inscription of Francis Joyce Keenan in pen on front free endpaper of first volume, else interior unmarked. Bindings are sound. Slipcase a bit toned and dust-soiled, but sturdy and solid with no splits.
