Collection of poetry, both sentimental and religious, by the Baltimore-based lawyer and author. Offered with a small collection of seven clean copy poems, all but one written typescript, and none of which appear in this collection. The manuscript poem "Benediction" (not to be confused with "A Benediction" in the published collection) is signed and inscribed "For Miss Lucille [?]." Additional poems in the collection: "Devotion"; "Expression" (signed and dated 1915); "Illumination" (two different typescript drafts, one of them signed and dated 1914); "Lucille"; and "No God?" A nice archive of amateur American poetry.
