Best known for her rendition of "Hound Dog" this postcard comes from her days working for Bay Tone, during which she wrote and recorded "Ball And Chain." The label did not release the single however, and it wasn't until Big Brother and the Holding Company and Janis Joplin, with Thornton's blessing, recorded their version that it gained a wider audience. Not separately cataloged in OCLC at time of this writing.
