Four octavo volumes; illustrated dust jackets; bound in blue, green, red, and pink cloth, decorated and ruled in gilt; top edges gilt. Decorative endpapers and black and white illustrations by Shephard throughout. Housed in a handsome custom-made clamshell case with gilt titling to spine.

Dust jackets chipped at extremities with general soiling and rubbing; When We Were split along joints with discrete repair to rear. Boards show moderate shelfwear, sunning to edges; "98" written in pen to front of House at Pooh Corner. Bindings sound; gift inscription to preliminaries of When We Were dated Christmas 1924. An about Very Good set of Milne's celebrated and beloved series housed in a quite handsome clamshell case.
