Exterior generally toned with scuffing and light soiling to margins; mild creasing to corners. Interior clean, with minor closed tears to bottom gutter edge of some pages. A Very Good or better copy.
Signed and inscribed by Chesney to soldier and diplomat William S. Culbertson, with the latter's name to top margin of front wrapper cover as well. Filled with cartoons poking fun at and immortalizing the morbid humor of being a soldier during World War II.
