The first appearance of Masereel's 1925 wordless novel "La Ville" ("The City") to be published for a Norwegian readership. Inscribed and signed on second leaf, "To Eugenia Lucas / No words--and all this poetry! Warm regards from Else and Johan Fr. Heyendahl / Oslo, March 18th / 89." Johan Heyendahl (1937-2021) was editor-in-chief at Den Norske Bokklubben from 1965 to 1983.
