Also included here is a promotional palm card (10.5x6.5cm) in the form of a Carry Nation business card on one side with the verso featuring a picture of her hoisting a hatchet and promoting "History of Her Life, Now in the Hands of Publishers."

Uncommon radical temperance periodical from the "Hatchet Granny," Carrie Nation. This single issue includes letters from readers, notes on the political maneuverings of the Prohibition Party, and an open letter to President Theodore Roosevelt, which begins, "I suppose you have the right to close the White House in my face without giving any reason, but questions of vital importance to the nation led me to seek an interview with you." Additional articles discuss bawdy houses, temperance in Mexico, and the Chinese government's war on opium. We find no copies in retail at time of this writing.
