Two octavo volumes; recased and bound in white pebble-grain cloth with gilt stamping to spine; 299, [1]pp.; 290pp. Boards edgeworn with brief exposures to extremities; corners bumped; heavy soiling and spotting; spines toned; printed circular stamp of Rice's Library of London to front cover of each volume; bindings sound; Rice's Library bookplates to front pastedowns of each volume as well, though each is exed out. Smudging and toning to pages; shallow marginal chipping to title page of volume I. Overall an admirably worn but still sound copy; Good to Very Good.

Rice's Library notes that it functions as a bookseller and stationer and offers subscriptions by the year, half-year, quarter, or month with engraving, printing and binding services regularly supplied in town and country and had been in operation since 1776. Quite uncommon in retail and auction records.
