Slim octavo; publisher's gray textured staplebound card wrappers; [4],iii,[1],92pp. Covers rubbed with creasing at corners, chipping at head of spine, and some smudging and soiling to surface. Crease at top corner affecting first dozen or so pages. Shallow dampstain along bottom page corners of last 20 pages and another to textblock head at fore-edge, not encroaching onto pages. Foxing to foreword and a small pencil notation at bottom of final page, else interior unmarked. Binding sound.
Hubbard's second work devoted to Dianetics. The copyright page mentions that this trade edition was preceded by a Limited Manuscript Edition, published in December, 1954.
