New York: A Del Rey Book / Ballantine Books, 1976–1983. First Book Club Editions, being the First Hardcover Editions, with codes S27, K29, and N31 to gutters. Three octavo volumes; beige, red, and blue boards; illustrated dust jackets. Light edgewear and general rubbing to dust jackets; boards shelfworn with some bumping and minor spotting; bindings sound. A Very Good set.
Star Wars signed by ghostwriter Alan Dean Foster; Empire Strikes Back signed by Donald F. Glut; Return of the Jedi signed by James Kahn at title pages without inscriptions. Full sets of the novelizations of the original Star Wars trilogy are scarcely found together and all the more uncommon signed. This now classic story of ancient heroic myths told in a brilliant and compelling space opera continues to resonate nearly fifty years after its original release; an attractive high spot of modern popular culture.
