Peeter Sink (1902-1957) was an Estonian landscape painter working in a traditional naturalist mode, inspired by a strong Christian faith. This monograph is a tribute and conspectus put together by his son, Tunne Kelam, the Estonian politician and former member of the European Parliament.

Peeter Sink's colors suggest Edvard Munch; his landscapes suggest Emily Carr—though Sink paints without the expressionist distortions of either. We are in a serene Estonian tradition that can be traced back to the quiet 15th-century portraits of Michel Sittow, and probably further still.
