Very Good / Fair. Item #9373
Boston: Houghton Mifflin Company, 1915. First Edition. Octavo (19.5cm.); publisher's cloth in pictorial dust jacket; ,375pp.; color frontispiece. Jacket exceedingly worn, front flap separated and laid in, horizontal tear across entire upper panel coupled with large loss at bottom fore-edge corner affecting the "ston" in "Johnston," additional small losses to spine panel, rear flap starting to separate due to aggressive biopredation--all in all much of the jacket held together by old tape repair to verso--Poor to Fair at best; light shelf wear to cloth extremities, corners bumped, brief soil to front cover, else Very Good, internally clean and sound.
Arthurian epic by the Virginia suffragist and prolific author of historical romance, uncommon in jacket, albeit a wrecked jacket at that.
